Twip – Consigno
Thanks to its lightweight design, the Consigno from twip is not only the ideal solution for roughness measurements within the lab environment, but it’s also perfectly suited for integration in larger measurement systems and manufacturing lines. Especially with sensitive functional surfaces like micro optics, sealings or laser-structured surfaces optical measurement technology offers many advantages – It’s contactless and hence non-destructive, to protect sensitive surfaces during measurement.
Contactless, high resolution, compact
For modern and autonomous manufacturing various different parameters like surface quality are needed. Up until now, the collection of these parameters close to production was only achieved insufficiently.
With its compact design, Consigno can easily be introduced in the manufacturing process and collect surface parameters in a quick and reliable way. The new and fully integrated scanning mechanics achieve large scanning areas of several millimeters. Through the use of additional axes in xy direction the measuring area can be extended 75x75 mm.
Features:
- Precise measurements even of steep edges or transparent surfaces
- Zoom and resolution adjustable
- Measurements are for the most part independent of material properties (e.g. colour or reflectivity)
- Analysis according to DIN EN ISO standards and VDI/VDE guidelines
- Measuring can be automated
- Individual adjustments to software possible
- Available with ultrasonic or step motor drive

Area based measuring
With an area based measurement of roughness parameters surfaces can be measured more detailed than with line based measuring. The measurement is furthermore independent of the direction of measurement. Another advantage is that single measurement sections can be placed parallel instead of linear. This way even small areas can be measured in conformity with standards.

Example thread measuring
Thanks to the confocal principle even steep edges like the flank of a thread can be measured and precise measurements like flank angle or thread pitch can be easily be done.
